I had a dream last night about Easter. Easter, the time of new life… Traditionally so not just because of the Christian belief that Jesus rose from the dead, giving new life, but because it falls during Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. And here we are, teetering on the edge of our own Spring.
Spring is a wonderful time. Spring is the time where flowers start to bloom and leaves return to their branches. Where the animal kingdom start getting’ jiggy with it and where the crisp mornings make way for brighter, more sun filled days.
We, as humans, also become brighter, getting enthusiastic for the summer to come and finding more spring and energy in our step. We start to emerge from the reflection and hibernation of winter and approach life with new vigour, eager for the lengthier days so we can do more with them.
As we see and create more space for more activity we allow ourselves to plant seeds, seeds for growth, which will bear fruit for the summer and allow us to reap rewards in the autumn.
A highly respected mentor of mine, Alice Haemmerle, always speaks of the seasons and what their cycles mean for us. Spring is her favourite. I remember her encouraging us to plant our seeds during this time, plant seeds so that we can sew.
As we approach Spring, I am thinking about just that; what seeds I need to plant, who I need to approach to kick off new projects, who I need to be to kick off those projects, what I need to do and what I would like my harvest to look like.
How about you? Are you doing the same?
With love
Lynda
